I actually wouldn't mind one either. I have a thing for dirt-simple workhorse cars that stay in production long enough to become living fossils. Paykan, Hindustan Ambassador, GAZ Volgas, etc., really wouldn't mind having any one of them.

Reports of the Paykan's demise are highly exaggerated too, the pickup truck (coupe utility) variant remains in production to this day as the IKO Bardo.

Not a Lada. It's based on the Hillman Hunter and was made until 2005 since the 1960's.

I went through a phase where I desperately wanted a Trabant just because of what it is. These cars are so cool for some reason. The Iranians practically worship the Paykan too.

I have a weird appreciation for the Trabant as well, but think I would wait at least until the final 1.1s are legal here. I used to own an old Lawn Boy, mixing gas and oil does get to be a pain.
